Kilbeggan Community Group CLG was formed in 1995. Initially the group supported a number of sponsor groups located in Kilbeggan town, this was later extended to include sponsor groups in Horseleap, Rosemount, Streamstown and Tyrrellspass.
2013 saw a substantial increase in the number of sponsor groups working with Kilbeggan Community Group CLG Rahugh Hall Development joined the scheme and the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection amalgamated the BCDL C.E. scheme and Kilbeggan Community Group clg.. The BCDL scheme included sponsor groups from Ballinagore, Ballymore, Castletown-Geoghegan, Dysart and Loughnavalley.
Kilbeggan Community Group CLG is one of over one thousand Community Employment Schemes in operation across the country.
