Kilbeggan Community Group does its utmost to create a vibrant local community in South Westmeath. Kilbeggan Community Group CLG is an umbrella body which represents 24 community and voluntary groups. The groups provide a broad range of community services and run a number of exciting events.
As a Community Employment scheme, Kilbeggan Community Group CLG supports local community and voluntary groups in carrying out much needed tasks within the community. It also has the benefit of supporting long-term unemployed people to re-enter the active workforce by offering part-time and temporary placements within their local communities.
It provides people with an opportunity to enhance and develop their technical and personal skills. After completing their placement, participants are encouraged to seek employment elsewhere based on the experience
