CE Training

Training is an integral part of Community Employment.

Each learner on CE designs an Individual Training Plan (ILP) which outlines work experience and both job specific and progression training.

Job Specific Training

All participants are required to participate in basic Health and Safety training in line with our Health and Safety measures.

Participants also complete additional job specific training which support them in carrying out their duties while on the scheme. Some of the job specific training opportunities we offer participants are; Hand Held Pesticide Application, Web Authoring; Patient Moving and Payroll – Manual and Computerised.

Progression Training

Kilbeggan Community Group strives to offer CE participants a wide range of training opportunities which are consistent with their specific career goals.QQI Accredited

The majority of training provided by Kilbeggan Community Group is QQI accredited. Kilbeggan Community Group C.E. participants partake  in a number of QQI Level 3,4,5 & 6 courses including;  Horticulture, Information Technology, Business Administration, Health Care Support and Employability Skills.

SOLAS and RSA Accredited

Kilbeggan Community Group tries to source other accredited courses which will support the participant’s long term career goals. For example, SOLAS accredited training in Construction Skills such as the course in  Mobile Access Tower Operations. We also source Road Safety Authority accredited training such as driver CPC training.
